Earthenware is certainly one of the oldest ceramic utensils that human beings still use today to make food. In Portugal, people use clay cookware all over the country to cook a wide variety of traditional dishes like Rojões and slow cooked stews.
These clay pots have been artisanally handmade and hand painted in Barcelos according to traditional techniques by a family of real artisans. They were made to be seen not hidden in a cabinet. When you are not cooking, place it as a decorative piece on a shelf or stovetop and it will give to your kitchen a rustic look.
